Description
This active little storefront is part of the Gabe Stulman portfolio (Joseph Leonard, Jeffrey's Grocery, Fedora, Perla, Montmartre), so finding creative yet unfussy food is a given. Unless you hit it mid-afternoon or late at night, there's a wait, with seating mostly at bar stools or counter stools facing the people-watching windows. What's most delicious: deviled eggs with soy and black garlic, smoked bluefish toast, grilled cheese with beer mustard, charred brussels sprouts with hazelnuts, raisins and yogurt and the Fedora burger with smoked cheddar, crunchy cucumbers, barbecue mayo and matchstick potatoes. The drinks are spot-on, too.
