It didn't take long for Upper West Siders to embrace this casual, comfortable wine bar with European-style sidewalk tables. Indoors, you'll find flattering lighting, an ample bar with raised tables, a temperature-controlled wine room and a back dining area with whitewashed brick walls. The arched wood ceiling looks like the bottom of a ship. Mediterranean small plates that accompany the big wine list include white truffle pizza, manchego cheese and tasso ham croquettes, lobster tagliatelle and grilled skirt steak. Thursday through Saturday, a late-night menu is in place until 2am.
