The word "romantic" is unexpectedly conjured by this bakery, which sits in the heart of Williamsburg's north side, where bakeries are scant. The feeling here is both intimate and cozy, owing partly to the vintage decor and partly to the scents of baking that abound: cookies, cakes and—perhaps most notably—bread are all made fresh on-site, and the smells of each suggest both home cooking and a homey nostalgia.
