Description
Roti is a traditional Indian flatbread, made from stoneground whole meal flour. What makes it different from Indian naan bread is that roti is unleavened. At Anita’s Roti Shop, the roti is priced favorably—around $10 a pop—and is served with your choice of meats like chicken, duck, goat, beef and oxtail (though shrimp and veggies are also an option). Anita’s also serves up traditional Trinidadian street food like doubles (a sandwich made with fried flatbread and curried chickpeas), pholourie (fried dough balls served with chutney) and a number of pastries and sweets.
