Description

Poultry lovers flock to 2 Duck Goose for whole Cantonese-style roast duck, duck fried rice and pulled chicken salad with Sichuan peppercorn dressing. The menu expands to include succulent pork dishes, branzino roasted in a paper bag and stir-fried smoked tofu with pineapple, rainbow chard and chili sauce. Hong Kong chef Ben Pope teamed up with Kay Ch'ien, another Hong Kong native he met in New York City, to open this chic storefront in Gowanus. Before or after an excellent meal here, there's enough going on the neighborhood to keep you occupied all day. Shop for unusual home furnishings at Build It Green NYC or Find, behold the fancy new Whole Foods with its rooftop greenhouse and café, play shuffleboard at Royal Palms, peruse the eerie Morbid Anatomy Museum and do not fail to procure pie and coffee at the sublime Four & Twenty Blackbirds.
