Over the last 30 years, Kadampa Meditation Center New York City has created a peaceful city sanctuary located in Chelsea, complete with an eight foot Buddha statue in the main meditation room. They offer more than 20 classes each week, suitable for beginners, including guided meditation combined with teachings. Drop-in classes are available every day of the week. There's always a meditation room to drop in to use. If you've never meditated before, lunchtime or after-work meditations are a great place to start.
