The King of Queens: Nas Mural

Description

Directly across from the Queensbridge Houses where legendary Queens-born hip-hop artist Nasir Jones, aka Nas, grew up is a mural featuring his likeness with the word “Queensmatic” splashed next to it; the word is a play on the rapper’s roots and his universally acclaimed debut album Illmatic. Artists Jorit Agoch, Lawrence "Myse" Hosannah Hannah, FCee and Eli Eos collaborated on the tribute to Nas, who’s considered one of the all-time greats; 10 of his 15 studio albums went gold, platinum or multi-platinum in America.
