The Great Hall, Cooper Union

Description

Made famous in 1860 when Abraham Lincoln gave a historic address regarding the end of slavery, the Great Hall at Cooper Union has since been home to countless speeches and debates by dignitaries including Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Grover Cleveland, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Since its doors opened in 1858, the famous auditorium in one of the country's oldest learning institutions has also hosted a slew of important student events, including the school's beloved annual Culture Show.
