Description
If you’ve listened to any of hip-hop legend Shawn Carter aka Jay-Z’s songs produced since 2003, you’ve probably heard the name of his storied club dropped into the lyrics. It’s derived from a baseball term for players who achieve 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in one season, and the original Flatiron location has branched out to several others across the country. The upscale lounge displays coveted sports memorabilia alongside massive flat screens and hosts legendary viewing parties; on any given night, Jay or other rap icons could be in attendance.
