Description
Randall's Island Park is an ideally located, 273-acre playground. Floating on the East River, it has picnic areas, baseball and soccer fields, a golf center and a tennis center and a cutting-edge stadium to showcase the world's best track stars. It's hosted concerts with acts like the Strokes, the Arcade Fire, Dave Matthews Band and Iggy Pop and the Stooges. And as if all that's not enough, the park is constantly improving through the efforts of the Randall's Island Park Alliance, which works not only to create more recreational facilities but to restore the island's natural environment as well.
