Prospect Park Parade Ground

Description

One of the City’s most active recreational sports hubs, this 40-acre area—revived by a $12 million restoration effort in 2004—includes facilities for tennis, baseball, football, soccer, softball, basketball, volleyball, petanque, lacrosse and several multi-use fields. The parade grounds have a storied place in Brooklyn sports history—more than 40 World Series rings have been awarded to players who started their careers playing here, including Sandy Koufax and Manny Ramirez.
