Playground for All Children

Description

Located in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the Playground for All Children was the first of its kind in America when it opened in 1984—a space which can be utilized by able-bodied and disabled children alike. Designed for children using wheelchairs, canes, crutches and walkers, the playground provides different levels of cognitive and motor stimulation throughout, and contains facilities for basketball, badminton, baseball and volleyball, slides, swings, a nature trail and a 12-foot suspension bridge.
