Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 2

Description

This restored industrial pier boasts five acres encompassing basketball, handball and pickleball courts along with picnic tables, swings and a full-size inline skating rink. A spiral pool here allows visitors to experience the East River’s rhythms—at high tide, the pool fills with water; at low tide, visitors can view traces of the river’s aquatic habitat.
