LAVA

Description

Founded in 1994 by Sarah East Johnson, this feminist acrobatic dance troupe develops and performs artistic works that combine dance, theater and acrobatics. LAVA has performed across New York City at such venues as PS 122, Dance Theater Workshop and Symphony Space, and has received numerous awards, including an OBIE in 2000. The troupe also offers classes in their unique dance style.
