Founded by an Italian immigrant whose family members still run the establishment and located on the same Astoria street it has occupied since 1937, this classic bakery puts old-world care into all of its homemade confections. Regulars rave about the buttery cookies and rich, ricotta cream–filled cannoli. Come summertime, authentic Italian ices are all the rage, and during winter, biscotti and hot chocolate are some of the preferred indulgences. Big day coming up?
