Upper East Side
Italian Cultural Institute
Description
Founded in 1961, the ICI is an official part of the Italian government, and seeks to encourage knowledge of Italian culture in the U.S. It organizes lectures on Italian history, sponsors evenings of Italian music and performance, and maintains a signficant library. Note, while most of events at the Institute itself are free, events that take place off-site sometimes require a fee.
