Concrete Plant Park

Description

Part of the Bronx River Greenway—a still-developing project that will eventually connect 23 miles of waterfront from Westchester to the East River—this nearly seven-and-a-half-acre riverside park is built on the grounds of an actual former concrete plant, and it still contains some concrete silos as part of the park's dynamic landscaping. The park is also home to kayak and canoe launch sites, paths for walking, bicycling and rollerblading, and reclaimed salt marshes.
