Cobble Hill Historic District

Description

The modestly sized Cobble Hill Historic District,  established in 1969, contains a number of landmark commercial buildings along two of its borders—the highly trafficked Atlantic Avenue and Court Street—with other borders drawn at Degraw and Hicks Streets. The tree-lined residential blocks in between hold a range of 19th-century architectural styles, including picturesque Greek Revival row houses, early Italianate and Romanesque Revival buildings, and Gothic churches designed by Minard Lafever and Richard Upjohn.
