NYC's first major multiplex, Chelsea's Cinépolis movie theater has been showing the latest in mainstream and indpendent cinema since opening in 1990. It features nine screens with deluxe seating, and is also home to special events like weekly screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and a number of film festivals, including NewFest and the Tribeca Film Festival.
