Greenwich Village

Cantor Film Center

Description

Cantor Film Center is one of the few places where you can see an all-day symposium on disasters (both manmade and natural), some documentary archive footage of punk rock in the 1970s and Willem Dafoe's latest film—all within two weeks. During the day, the NYU hall is filled with students, but anyone can book the space for events in the evenings and on weekends. Costs vary (movies are often $2 for students and $3 for the public, while many other events are free to everyone), and the schedule is so diverse that you're sure to find something of interest.
