August Wilson Theatre

Description

Opened in 1925 as the Guild Theatre, this Broadway house was known more recently as the Virginia Theatre for over 20 years and then renamed for playwright August Wilson a few weeks after his death in 2005. With 1,222 seats this spacious theater was recently renovated when its long-term tenant Jersey Boys closed and made way for Mean Girls.
