Texas-based company Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has brought its food-and-drinks multiplex theater experience to Downtown Brooklyn. The seven-theater complex is part of Brooklyn’s residential and retail section known as City Point, and it offers reserved seating and dine-in service. The theaters are spread over two floors, and the space also houses a stand-alone bar called the House of Wax. In addition to new releases, the theater features repertory screenings. Good news for serious moviegoers: the company has a strictly enforced “no talking, no texting” rule.
