106th & Park

Description

This iconic hip-hop and R&B music countdown show aired on BET from 2000 to 2014, and was the network’s highest-rated program. The name is derived from the first studio in which it was broadcast, which was at the corner of Harlem’s East 106th Street and Park Avenue. Aside from showcasing music videos, the show hosted some of hip-hop’s most memorable moments, including the first performances by Ciara and Drake, Aaliyah’s final interview and the day 50 Cent and Kanye West stopped by to promote their competing albums.
