Great question. The main difference is size: Broadway theaters seat 500 or more people, while Off-Broadway theaters are more intimate, typically seating between 100 and 499. But don’t let the name fool you—Off-Broadway shows are just as powerful, innovative and entertaining as anything on the Great White Way.
NYC Off-Broadway Week is one of NYC Tourism's signature community marketing programs. Taking place biannually, in winter and fall, the program is limited-time promotion offering 2-for-1 tickets to some of New York City's most fascinating theatrical fare.

With the NYC Off-Broadway Week 2-for-1 ticket offer, you get 50% off the price of each ticket. A service fee will be applied on a per-ticket basis.
Once the program is live—usually about two weeks in advance of the program start date—you'll be able to view the full list of participating shows on our NYC Off-Broadway Week page. You’ll be able to browse productions by genre and location to find the show that’s right for you.
