The Standard Biergarten
Description
This beer garden—courtesy of the Standard Hotel—sits in the shadow of the High Line, the elevated park that doubles as the bar’s ceiling. Like in traditional German beer halls, the space is expansive, with seating for 200, including special tables you can reserve that have their own built-in beer taps. The brew selection is vast, with plenty of little-known international beers on offer. In addition to drinking, visitors can chow down on hearty sausages, pretzels and meat spreads and play a game of tipsy Ping-Pong. Be prepared for large after-work crowds.
