The National Underground

Out of Business

Description

It’s all in the family at the National Underground, where owners and brothers Joey and Gavin DeGraw and their manager cousin Travis DeGraw have channeled their love of music (both Joey and Gavin have their own records out) into a homey, high-spirited bar where the tunes are live every night. Acts range from local to international, but the genre tends to stay within the alt-country and blues arena. Stop in for the $5 burger at lunch, daily happy hour (noon–7pm) or your last drink of the evening before hopping on the F train just steps away. The schedule says they’re open ’til 3am, but Travis assures they’re open later than that on weekends.
