This East Village mainstay has seemingly been in the neighborhood forever, quite a feat considering how many nearby nightspots come and go. With B-movies projected onto the walls, metal blasting from the speakers and beers ranging from expensive imports to college-staple Natural Light, locals pack it nightly. And yes, there are even books lining the walls, so you can say you're “going to the library” and not be 100% lying.
