Shrine World Music Venue

Description

This no-cover live music venue, bar and restaurant opened in 2007, but has quickly become a neighborhood institution. A typical night at Shrine features five to six bands—usually reggae, funk, jazz and world music acts, although the Shrine also features hip-hop, rock, pop and electronica—followed by DJ sets and dancing; Sunday afternoon is the spot for their weekly Sunday Jazz Jam.
