Radegast Hall & Biergarten
Description
This is, to be precise, not a German beer hall but an Austro-Hungarian biergarten, situated smack dab in the middle of Williamsburg’s churning north side. The massive space is divided into two sections: one, a garden with a retractable roof and smoky grill; the other, a dark, cavernous room reminiscent of drinking halls from days of yore and filled with long communal wooden tables. There is, of course, an expansive menu of German and Eastern European beers; while those are the main draw, you won’t be disappointed by the selection of cocktails and wines. But it’s the pilsners, bocks, ales and schwartzbiers (you get the picture) that pair best with the schnitzels, brats and kielbasas.
