This Lower East Side bar's owner grew up in Cologne, and it shows. Alongside an expertly curated menu, there's a great selection of German wines and spirits—how about a Stroh Obstler with that käsespätzle?—and two dozen beers from Germany's top breweries, including seasonal brews and limited editions to keep things interesting. In the back you'll find a cement-walled, tented patio strung with festive lights; tables outside are first-come, first-served, so arrive early. The no-frills interior is equally boisterous.
