La Biblioteca NYC

Out of Business

Description

Libraries are for doing research and—true to its name—La Biblioteca ("library" in Spanish) is the place to come in the City if you’re hoping to learn a thing or two about tequilas and mezcals. The menu boasts 400 varieties, representing tiny unknown distilleries and famed spirit-brewers alike. How you sample these is a matter of personal taste. Options include the more understated choice of palomas, margaritas and other mixed tequila cocktails. There are also tasting flights, which allow you to sample multiple, expertly paired agave-liquor selections. Small plates ensure the drinks don’t go to your head too quickly, and the bar also features beers, wines and sangria. In keeping with the literary theme, the decor is appropriately bookish with black walls and Persian rugs throughout.
