Description
Near the glossy high-rise development booming along Long Island City’s waterfront, one can still find some authentic Queens history in this 100-year-old watering hole. Not far from MoMA’s PS 1, L.I.C. Bar has draft beer, as well as an antique wood bar, exposed-brick walls and original tin ceilings. It's also known for a lively music scene, with bands and singers on different nights of the week as well as an outdoor patio which plays hosts to music events in the warmer months. For the literati, there’s even a monthly reading series.
