An East Village institution, this no-frills Irish watering hole is better known as a spot to catch sports on one of the bar's seven flat-screen TVs (while tucking into some bar food) than a place to experience genuine Irish culture. However, Dempsey's does retain some authentic Gaelic touches, including a wide selection of whiskeys, Guinness on draft and traditional Celtic music every Tuesday night.
