Black Flamingo (nightclub)

Out of Business

Description

The term “supergroup” is usually applied to bands, but it feels appropriate when talking about the founders of this Williamsburg bar, restaurant and dance spot; it includes Battery Harris restaurateurs David Shapiro and Etan Fraiman and members of several modern-legend DJ outfits, such as Mizrahi (Wolf+Lamb), Eli Goldstein (Soul Clap) and Philipp Jung (M.A.N.D.Y.). On the ground floor you’ll find the dancing and DJ booth, which fills the night with deep house cuts and vertical neon lights. Upstairs you’ll be able to hear yourself talk while you dine on delicious Cuban-Nuevo Latino vegan and vegetarian dishes from chef Ben Dawson.
