Description
This sophisticated corner bar is the first solo venture from Sage Geyer, an alum of popular NYC nightspots Union Pool and Kinfolk 94. Bar Meridian makes its home on the border of Brooklyn’s Prospect Heights and Crown Heights neighborhoods—hence “meridian.” The beverage program focuses on natural wines, listing them under the phrase “let’s talk about it” rather than by name. The goal: to encourage guests to discuss their preferences with approachable bartenders. Those who want more certainty can choose from the defined list of beer and mixed drinks. There’s a personal element to the bar’s soundtrack too, in the form of a restored jukebox that’s available for free play from 5 to 6pm nightly.
