Kenta Goto is the reason cocktail connoisseurs seek out Bar Goto, a dark, hidden, handsome den on the Lower East Side. The courtly Tokyo native spent several years honing his bartending skills at Pegu Club, which led to opening his solo spot in the summer of 2015. Drinks have a Japanese bent and well-prepared drinking food includes miso chicken wings speckled with black sesame seeds, burdock root fries and several versions of okonomiyaki, a street food staple that's a cross between a frittata and a giant pancake.
