Artists Space was created in 1972 with the goal of supporting young, emerging artists. Always a space that pushes the envelope, the contemporary work here often elicits controversy and provocative discussion. Their education program, Expanded Art Ideas, encourages creativity among students in New York City's schools, providing them with the skills to communicate and display their talents.
