Apexart
Description
Founded in 1994, this diverse, not-for-profit art space has hosted the work of more than 1,500 artists over the course of its existence. Each year, Apexart stages seven gallery shows—which in the past have included the work of such art world luminaries as David Byrne, Vito Acconci, and Martha Rosler--and eight international residency programs for artists from abroad, furthering their mission of greater public engagement with the arts.
