Description
Los Angeles–based artist Sterling Ruby creates ceramic works using his hands—manipulating clay into organic shapes that remind viewers of childlike creations. He also incorporates fabric, found metal, cardboard and drawings on paper into his art. This MAD Museum exhibition—the first ever to focus solely on Ruby’s works—features more than 20 of his large creations glazed in clay basins along with other hand-built objects.
