The Church of St. Luke in the Fields

Description

This progressive Episcopal church was founded in 1820 and, over the years, has survived two fires. The church has a large gay and lesbian constituency and is very active in giving back to both the local gay population and the community in general. In addition to its worship services, the church holds concerts, adult education classes and outreach programs, and it also houses a thrift shop. For anyone who's walked by, it's probably best known for the surrounding garden, which is filled with flowers and is open to the public.
