Marble Collegiate Church

Description

Located near the Empire State Building, this landmark 1854 building featuring Tiffany windows was the birthplace for Dr. Norman Vincent Peale's The Power of Positive Thinking. Under senior minister Dr. Michael B. Brown's leadership, the diverse Marble Collegiate Church offers traditional Sunday services and contemporary Wednesday services, with world class music sung throughout the year—a full schedule is available on its website. The church has one of the few walkable permanent labyrinths in the City, enhancing city dwellers spiritual wellbeing. In June, the Puzzle Theater Festival nurtures emerging playwrights. Tours are offered by request.
