Description
The Upper East Side’s Islamic Cultural Center offers much more than a place to worship. In addition to serving as a mosque for Muslims who want to practice their religion, it also features a school, a library, a lecture hall, a museum and a residence for its Imams (Muslim leaders). While its primary purpose is to serve the Muslim community, the center is also a place for non-Muslims to learn about Islam, its teachings and philosophies.
